With the release of OS X Mountain Lion, additional management capabilities for FileVault 2 were introduced through the new fdesetup utility. This tool offers a number of new command-line abilities for administrators to manage FileVault 2. In this session, we’ll cover how how FileVault 2′s cryptographic keys work as well as examinefdesetup’s major functions in OS X Mountain Lion. We’ll also cover how JAMF is using fdesetup in Casper to provide enterprise management of FileVault 2. (75 Minute Lecture)
